Hi! I'm Laura Rife, Christian Retreat Speaker, 
founder of Wholly His Ministries. 

My Bio: I currently live in Oregon with my husband who is the Senior Pastor of United Evangelical Free church in Klamath Falls.   Troy and I have been married 20 years and while we were not able to have children of our own, God led us both into ministries where we can pour our love into others (as well as our rescue dog named Skittles). I've had the privilege to speak at women's ministry retreats and events, lead Bible Studies, conduct workshops, and oversee women's ministries in the various local churches we've been a part of. In addition to being an active member at United EFC, I am involved in Ambassadors For Christ Fellowship, a local organization that ministers to men and women in the county jail and on parole/probation.

My Testimony: I began trusting Christ on a mission’s trip to Guatemala during college. The truth of Romans 5:8 took a hold of my heart and mind; that God loved me just as I was and demonstrated that by sending His Son Jesus to die for me while I was still in the muck and mire and messiness of my sin. Since then, I have never doubted that God's great salvation is a gift based on the sacrifice of Christ and not anything I could ever do. However, that "performance" mentality slowly crept into my Christian life and after 20 years of learning, serving, and walking with Jesus I hit a wall spiritually. I felt run down, used up, burned out, and as if my world was caving in! But God graciously took my hand and led me on a new journey that has involved facing my own brokenness of performance, perfectionism, and people pleasing in order to grow in embracing God’s grace and unconditional love.

My Calling: My ministry passion involves 1) providing encouragement and guidance to women through the teaching of God’s Word 2) training women's ministry leaders to develop ministries that are driven by purpose, outreach, and spiritual giftedness 3) helping individual women to discover their purpose and use their spiritual gifts. So, in 2010, I felt God leading me to start Wholly His Ministries as a way to share my story, skills, and experience with other women through retreat/event speaking. I hope to expand this ministry to include individual life coaching and women's ministry consulting.
