1. The Bible: The Bible is the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God meant to reveal the nature and character of God, His plan for humanity, and is the means by which the Holy Spirit both saves and sanctifies believers. 2. God: God, the Creator, eternally exists as one being in 3 persons, the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. God alone is eternal, all powerful, all knowing, ever present, and infinitely perfect. 3. Humanity: All people have value because they are created in the image of God. However, all humanity is born with a sin nature and lives in rebellion against God without hope of deliverance from our own effort. Because we willfully sin against an eternal God, we deserve eternal punishment from God. 4. Salvation: God, in His gracious love, sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to be incarnated as God in man, to live the only perfect and sinless life. He then chose to die in order to take the punishment of our sins. Anyone, regardless of race, gender, ability, education, and lifestyle can be rescued from their sin by trusting in Jesus Christ's death in their place and receive eternal life as a free gift of His grace. |
